MERTHYR ROCK FESTIVAL BACK FOR 2012!

 After the success of last year Merthyr Rock, the 3 day alt/rock festival in Cyfarthfa Park, Wales, is back for a second year. This year the fest will run from 31st August – 2nd September, with a number of acts already announced:

Razorlight | Kids In Glass Houses | Deaf Havana | Saves The Day | Yashin | Arcane Roots 

and many more to come!

Festival director Rhodri Jones said “We had an incredible response to the festival last year, and this year’s event is going to be bigger, better, bolder and an awesome way to end this Summer”

Special earlybird tickets are now on sale for £55 (available until 2nd July) through See and Ticketline UK, with day ticket prices to be announced soon. Camping is available at Grawen Farm priced at £15 per person for 3 nights (Fri-Sun).

FIRST BANDS ANNOUNCED FOR HIT THE DECK 2012!

One of the most successful day festivals of 2011, Hit The Deck,  have begun to announce the line up for 2012. April 22nd 2012 will see some of the best alternative bands take over Nottingham, invading Rock City, Stealth, The Forum, and The Rescue Rooms. Tickets are on sale now from Alt Tickets and cost £20.

KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES – IN GOLD BLOOD ALBUM REVIEW

When Welsh quintet Kids In Glass Houses announced the release of third full-length ‘In Gold Blood’, I, like many other fans, was quite excited by the idea of new music heading our way soon. However, looking back, the time between the release of 2010’s Dirt  and said new record, sets alarm bells ringing. Surely such a small space of time to write, record and produce a record is hardly a promising sign. Suddenly, I wasn’t so sure of the band. And, honestly? In the last year All Time Low have headlined Brixon Academy with the Kerrang Relentless Energy tour, secured a spot of Radio 1’s a list and continues on the up wreaking havoc at venues all over the world and, most recently on our shores, playing Reading Festivals legendary mainstage alongside pop punk giants Blink 182, Weezer and Motion City Soundtrack. February and May 2010 will, once again, see the four piece hitting mainland Europe, the UK & Ireland on a month long tour with very special guests, the newly reformed Yellowcard, in tow for the UK leg.
