The next wave of bands for Slam Dunk 2012 have been announced for both 26th May in Leeds University and 27th May at the Hatfield Campus of Herts University:

Additionally, there will be Slam Dunk shows at Cardiff Uni on May 28th and Glasgow ABC on May 29th. Taking Back Sunday, Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything will play both shows with Cancer Bats, While She Sleeps, The Audition, Don Broco and Straight Lines completing the line up in Wales. Hit The Lights and The Story So Far will play in Scotland.

THE SUMMER SET – ALBUM REVIEW

Arizona-based The Summer Set released their new album, ‘Everything’s Fine’ in Australia and New Zealand on February 10, via UNFD.

With the album having been released earlier last year in the US through Razor & Tie – Australian fans will be pleased to get a special edition of the album in its entirety with two extra tracks Crash and Last First Kiss before the band’s first Australian tour.

I’m not much of an expert on studio production, so maybe somebody could fill me in on this one. Is there a button on the mix desk marked “bombast”? Maybe “anthemic”, or more simply “epic”? It’s just about the only thing I can think of that explains the sheer enormity of ‘Bones’. Read more…

Utah’s  finest The Used have announced a handful of UK dates this April to promote their upcoming album ‘Vulnerable’ which is released March 27th.
